How long does an installation take?
Solid insulated panels can be installed in a single day! Solid tile roofs typically take longer, with most complete within a week. But crucially, we ensure we get the old roof off and the new roof on within the first day, although it is not finished, it is 99% water proof by the end of day 1.
Is my conservatory suitable?
Yes. Solid insulated panels can be installed into any conservatory design or shape. For a solid tiled roof, the majority of conservatories are suitable, but this is subject to survey. We ask for a photo in our quote form, as we can tell from this whether your conservatory will be suitable to save you time down the road.
Will my conservatory be cooler in the summer?
Yes! Solid insulated panels can reduce the temperature by as much as 20 degrees by stopping the magnification of the sun through polycarbonate or glass. Once completed with your new roof, the temperature will stay within a few degrees of the temperature outside. A conservatory with polycarbonate or glass roof can reach mid 50s in the height of summer!
Will my conservatory be warmer in winter?
Yes. Solid insulated panels have better u-values than polycarbonate or glass. Plus, a solid tile roof will be 14 times more energy efficient than a glass roof, and for a polycarbonate roof, it will be 20 times more efficient.
Will my conservatory be quieter in bad weather?
Yes. We install a sound absorbing layer as standard to all of our panels. With a solid tile roof with no roof windows, you won’t hear any noise at all.
Do you have different colour options?
Yes. We can match any roof tile colour, therefore we can match your conservatory colour. Insulated panels come in grey on white or white on white.
Do I need planning permission?
No. For most conservatories there is no issue, only listed buildings or possibly conservation areas would need a further check with local authority. All our solid tile roof have a building control inspector and we provide certification on completion of the build.
